About Me

Jared and I have been married two years now. In November we will have been together 9 years. Crazy to think. We definitely grew up together and I think that's what makes us work so well. We had a daughter in June and we're not sure why we didn't do so sooner. We love her with our life. She is the best thing that's ever happened to us. I love having my own family. We live in Fayetteville and LOVE IT. We are always back and forth on whether or not we'll move back to Alma. I see us back down there one day but I see our life always being in NWA. If only we could pack our families up and move them up here!

Clapping!

So Ruby's new thing is clapping. Jared and I swear she's the smartest baby in the world. I know all parents think that about their children so we'll just brag on her to each other. :)

She's doing great! Growing like a weed. She loves about everything we put in her mouth. I'm still mixing her fruits with vegetables simply because it's working for us. Each meal she has two containers of 2nd foods. 99% of the time she eats it all no problem. But sometimes she's tired and only eats about 75% of it, no less.

Yesterday was a good day. We went down to Alma and visited everyone we could in one day. My dad was working so we just got to visit with Glamma. We watched Macybeth play basketball which she was amazing at. Very cute watching little 6 year olds run up and down the court. Then we went to visit mom and Wayne. I haven't seen my mom in over 3 weeks and I was having withdrawals. After that we headed over to the Inman's to hang out with them for a bit.

When we got home I had somewhat of a breakdown. Yesterday morning I had nursed Ruby on both sides and it didn't seem to satisfy her. She was pretty upset until we gave her a bottle. I guess it hit me last night when Jared decided to get her down for bed. I'm used to being the one that does that. I don't know why I dried up so quickly but it's obviously for a reason. I am very emotionally attached to it so I feel like it might be a rough road. But it will be ok.

I have quite the stash of breast milk so hopefully we'll use that for at least the next month along with supplementing formula. I just gave Ruby her first bottle of it and she demolished it. No problems. And that was after turkey, sweet potatoes and apples. So I think we're gonna be fine!

Next weekend is family pictures with a great photographer. We are very excite about it. We've never had family photos!

I hope you all have a great week. Ruby and I are still in our pajamas. I've already watched Crazy/Beautiful and just turned on Diary of a Mad Black Woman. Two of my favorites! Can you tell Jared is not home?! :)

Love, Sarah
