About Me

Jared and I have been married two years now. In November we will have been together 9 years. Crazy to think. We definitely grew up together and I think that's what makes us work so well. We had a daughter in June and we're not sure why we didn't do so sooner. We love her with our life. She is the best thing that's ever happened to us. I love having my own family. We live in Fayetteville and LOVE IT. We are always back and forth on whether or not we'll move back to Alma. I see us back down there one day but I see our life always being in NWA. If only we could pack our families up and move them up here!

Santa and More

Well this weekend was huge. It started out a little rocky. Last week was just rough, period.

I told you about my great grandpa that passed away. Well his funeral was Wednesday. I caused my sister to completely miss it because my idiot self locked my keys in my car. I never do that! My sister's boyfriend Roger saved the day though. We got there as soon as it was over. My family said it was nice though. He was a World War II vet so it was a military service. I'm devastated that we missed it.

We got to visit Kristi's grave while we were there. That was pretty emotional. I made a tile picture of Ruby to lay on her and Brad's grave. I wish I would've thought to take a picture. I can't wait to go back by there on Christmas.

We spent the day in Mansfield with the fam and I just started falling apart. My eye was bloodshot red and I got this horrible toothache! My family kept saying "you work in a dentist office and you have a toothache?". So Thursday when I got back I got an X-ray of it and Dr. Martin didn't see anything so he sent me to an endodontist. She was able to see it on the machine she has. Technology these days! I had an infection above the root of a previous root canal. Yuck!

So Friday was full of appointments. I had to go to the eye doctor because my yearly was scheduled anyway and my eye was gross. I ended up having irritation from Ruby's butt medicine! The eye doctor knew exactly what I'd been using on her. I guess another reason I'm an idiot. I didn't wash my hands good enough before I put my contacts in. Then off for a root canal! So I've been taking antibiotics and eye drops with steroids to boost me back up. I'm hoping for a healthier, happier week this week.

Saturday was wonderful! Ruby got to meet Santa! But she has no idea she did. My mom, Wayne and Macy came up too and while we were waiting to see him Wayne put her to sleep. I thought I was going to wake her for the picture but Santa told me he had the perfect pose for a sleeping baby. So I trusted him and it turned out great. We are very happy with it.

Macy got to come home with us and I can't even explain how much Ruby enjoyed it. After I took her home today Ruby cried all the way to the tunnel. Then when we got home I swear she was looking around waiting for her to pop up. I can't wait for her to come stay again. She already asked me about the next weekend.

Tonight while we were getting Rubes ready for bed after her bath we had her in the floor just playing with her. I always say to her "Ruby, say ma-ma". Well tonight we were saying "say da-da". And she tried SO HARD to say it! I mean it really was amazing. She said "da.....da". I think it's just a matter of time! Made us a little emotional.

On another more serious note, Jared and I have been faced with a really big decision to make so I'm asking for prayers. I think I've decided that it's more him that doesn't know what to do. I feel like I have all the answers, of course. :) Anyway, we just want God to tell us what to do but at the same time we don't know exactly how to listen. If that makes any sense at all. I mean I like signs. Such as I don't think Farmington Dental Center would have let me go if God didn't want me at the job I'm at now. I don't think He'd give me the milk production He's given me all these months if He didn't want me breast feeding. ETC ETC! We just need some direction.

This is the tile I put on Brad and Kristi's grave. I know they're smiling at it!

Ruby and Santa

BEST BUDDIES!!!

I think I'll end it here because this has turned out entirely too long. I hope you all have a wonderful week!

P.S. I have a HUGE secret and it's eating me alive.

Love,

  3. I agree...a cliffhanger indeed. I need to keep up better with your blog, I think. Gonna go try to see if there is anything I've missed to give me a clue. I am also going to look into blogging a little more seriously. Things I want to say on Facebook but can't; too much for EVERYONE.

I love you and am so proud of you, Jared and Ruby!
