My little princess is getting so big. Thursday is her four month birthday so today was her scheduled check/shots. For some reason I didn't dread it. I guess because I was getting to stay home a little longer with Ruby and just take our time. Well with her appointment being so early that didn't last long. As soon as we got there the anxiety set in. I asked her nurse if she was getting shots thinking maybe I just THOUGHT that and they really didn't get 4 month shots. Wrong. :( So Ruby was just having a wonderful time. She was talking to me and rolling over. She chatted Dr. Denton up too. Just a little chatter box. Then in came the mean ol' nurse with the needle. She asked me to hold her hands. So I did. I was just talking to her and as soon as the needle went in she stopped talking, looked at me, and started screaming. It was awful. Worse than the first time. Jared wasn't able to make this appointment because of a meeting. He's got out of both shots appointments because of work. Next time there will be no acceptions. I honestly think I handle it way better than he would but I want him there.
She weighs 14 lbs 12 oz and is 24 1/2 inches long.
I wanted nothing more than to call work and tell them I was taking her home. But it was a surgery day and I have to be there because I schedule and treatment plan for Dr. Renegar. So I took her to Kathy's. A new 6 week old baby started today so as I was leaving thinking Ruby would no longer be the "baby" I just about had a melt down. I wanted to just cry. But I didn't. I sucked it up and went to work.
I called Kathy at about 12:30 and Ruby was perfectly fine. Jared picked her up and when I called to check on them I could just hear her laughing. Kathy had her cracking up. So my mind immediately was at ease. I finally got off and got home to her immediately.
During all the chaos today I also ran to the doctor myself. I have bronchitis. No fun at all. My nose is raw and I feel like there is 500 lbs sitting on my chest. Ouch.
That's all for now.

About Me
- SarahInman
- Jared and I have been married two years now. In November we will have been together 9 years. Crazy to think. We definitely grew up together and I think that's what makes us work so well. We had a daughter in June and we're not sure why we didn't do so sooner. We love her with our life. She is the best thing that's ever happened to us. I love having my own family. We live in Fayetteville and LOVE IT. We are always back and forth on whether or not we'll move back to Alma. I see us back down there one day but I see our life always being in NWA. If only we could pack our families up and move them up here!

What a busy weekend. Or it seemed like it anyway. It definitely went by entirely too fast!
Friday I kept Ruby home all day. I needed some time with her. It seems like it is getting harder to leave her on work days. We had a great day! I learned that she is getting to be mobile in her own little way. I had put her in her play yard and looked down and she was almost out of it. She rolls. Ha! She rolls to one side then the other etc etc eventually scooting herself where she needs to be. Or should I say, "wants" to be. It's funny because I notice she eventually stops doing it once she can see the tv.
Then Friday night I had to stuff goodie bags for the Rhea Lana's sale. It's a big kids consignment sale in NWA done every spring and fall. I decided to be a volunteer so I could shop early. Well I had put a roast on earlier in the day and our good friend Jared Ellison stopped by. We invited him and Marie to eat with us. They ended up hanging out and helping me stuff bags. What would have been an all night chore turned into only an hours work. Thank goodness!
Saturday I woke up feeling like poop! I couldn't not go to the sale though. I ended up finding Ruby's entire winter wardrobe! She is wearing 3-6 month right now but can easily wear 6 month too. So when the temps drop she's set!!! I love saving money for our family and I know in the long run its so worth it!!!
Then that afternoon we went to the anual Inman/Peters picnic at Devils Den. The weather seriously couldn't have been more perfect. It was a really fun time visiting and catching up with everyone. Ruby loved it. She got pretty tired after a few hours so her Aunt B took her for a stroll and got her right to sleep. Fun day! I came home and crashed.
Today I woke up still feeling poopy. Ruby woke up 3 times last night for some reason. Today just wasn't a good day. At one point she was literally screaming at the top of her lungs. She wouldn't nap and we could just tell she felt bad. Poor thing. She's in bed now and I'm hoping stays there. I think she was delirious by the end of the night. I don't know if it's teething, growth spurt or what....but I don't like it when she feels bad.
I think that's all I have for now. I'm so tired. Hopefully Ruby and I wake up feeling much better.
Here are a few pictures from the weekend....

Devils Den pictures. I didn't take a single one. Had to steal these. Thanks Auburn! :)
Have a great week!

One Year Ago
First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY to both of my grandma's!!! Grandma Pearl and Mommo both have birthdays today. I love you both so much!
So exactly one year ago today is when I got a positive pregnancy test. The story might not be that great to some but it is to me. So I had a feeling.... I wasn't late yet but I just had a feeling. Jared was out of town. I just kept telling myself I would wait until he got back to take a test. But if any of you know me you know I have ZERO will power, so I took a test. I didn't walk away from it. I stood there and stared at it the entire time. When I saw one real blue line and one faint one I wasn't sure but then I remembered all the other tests had nothing at all on the second one. So anyway, I'm pregnant!!!!!! So I immediately start pacing the floor trying to decide if I'll call and tell Jared or wait until he gets home. If I wait I can't tell a soul so yes, Jared found out over the phone. He was ecstatic! Then of course I call my mom, Lindsey, sisters, Emmie, and a few others. It was so crazy. My pregnancy was a breeze. I miss it often. I can't believe Ruby will be 4 months old in a week. God has truly blessed us with a healthy, happy beautiful baby girl. I knew she was a she from that day on. Our lives are so complete with her in it. So happy one year (kinda) to my baby girl! I love you sweet pea!

THE TEST...

After nursing in the mornings I lay her down next to Jared. Yesterday morning I put her down and said "where's daddy?". She looked over at him and closed her eyes and went to sleep. She is so precious. Her daddy is pretty great too. :)

2 Years of Pure Bliss
So today is Jared and I's 2 year wedding anniversary. I can't even tell you all the good things about him. He truly is an amazing man. If there's anyone in this world I could be more like it would be him.
We really celebrated yesterday by going to tailgate with friends for the game. It was a blast. Our good friends Emmie and Derrick Thomas have a great spot right across from the stadium where you can see the jumbo tron so we watched the first half there. Then we packed up and headed home. Mom and Wayne were gracious enough to come up here and babysit. It makes it so easy so we don't have to load up Ruby and take her down there when we're doing stuff here. Thank you again Mom and Wayne! We had planned to have friends over to watch the rest of the game and hang out for a while but by the time we got home and they were heading over we decided we were just too tired. Being parents has just given us a whole new appreciation for sleep! I didn't take a single picture yesterday. Boo!
This morning Jared decided he'd do the Sunday run to Wal Mart. So thankful he does that for me. He comes home and I am unloading groceries and I see that he got Ruby some new white socks. I've been complaining for weeks that she only has one pair. White ones just go better with everything. Anyway, I'm sitting there telling her how awesome her daddy is and in he walks with a big gift sack for me. My anniversary present. Of course I'm excited I love presents! What girl doesn't?!? So I open it up and it's a SURPRISE TRIP TO MEXICO!!!! Needless to say I was thrilled!!!! I was screeching and jumping up and down. Hugging him, hugging Ruby. That girl has to think her mama is nuts! We will be going in the spring with Emmie and Derrick. Her dad and his girlfriend will be there too. So excited!!!!

This is what was in the gift sack. It's all my stuff. I was thinking at first he had me something ordered that wasn't here yet. Ha!

This was taped to the other side of the card!
I'm so happy at this point in my life. It doesn't take material things to make me happy. Him simply buying Ruby socks amazes me. He listens and knows what we need always. I can't imagine life without Jared Inman. He's my best friend. He's my rock. He keeps me sane. He keeps me entertained, I seriously laugh until I cry at him daily even when I'm grouchy (which doesn't happen very often I promise;)). He is the best dad! I know I say this a lot but I can't say it enough, I am truly blessed. I love you Jared Inman! Happy Anniversary!!!
Here are just a couple pictures of the princess..

We went for a walk around Fayetteville Friday with my friends Vanessa and Kate and their babies Piper and Miles. Ruby needed her shades!

She has found her feet and is obsessed! So cute!
Ok well I hope you all have a wonderful week. Don't forget about Kim Kardashian's wedding on E! tonight and tomorrow. I can't wait!!!

Mommy's Guilt
So I started this blog to let you all keep up with us but I just need to vent and ask for some advice. Why do I have this constant guilty feeling inside? I mean I feel guilty when I'm going for some lunch during my lunch break, when I'm sitting on my back porch relaxing (while she's sleeping peacefully), and even just because she is in bed and not my arms. I don't understand it. I feel like I leave her all the time when I know that isn't the case. I do what everyone else does. She's happy and we're happy and so lucky to have such an incredible baby. Does it get easier?

Roll Over Ruby
Well she has done it for me a few times but that's only when she is waking up from her naps. She naps on her belly. Today when I picked her up Kathy said she rolled over from her back to front then back to her back!!!! I was so excited I just started squealing! As I was driving home I started thinking about how mom's say they get so sad about missing their babies "firsts". I wasn't sad at all!!!! I've been worried about the fact that I never lay her on her back because she always acts as if she hates it with me. Well apparently she doesn't mind it when she has the entertainment of little Emma Claire, Bentley, and Owen. They are the other three kids she keeps and she LOVES THEM! I'm so happy she rolled over like that. I can't wait to see it myself. I will just pretend it's her first time. :)
On another note she's doing great this week. She's been taking long naps for Kathy and I can just tell everyone is just feeling better. Kathy keeps telling me she's really adjusting. I sent her over there last Friday for half a day thinking only 2 1/2 days off would not leave her feeling so shocked on Monday and I think it really helped. I think I'll do the same thing this week and get some things done! She also started using the bigger bottles today with a level 2 nipple. She ate 6 ounces like it was nothing!!! Such a big girl!!!

Now just look at that little jack-o-lantern. Isn't she the cutest baby in the world?!?!!!!
Ok well I said I'd finally wash my hair tonight but I remembered I have mousse. I think I'll lay here and read instead! Leave it curly tomorrow!
One more work day then the weekend! Wahoo! It's Jared and I's 2 year anniversary Sunday. I plan on spending the day with my family but first we are going to tailgate on Saturday. Super excited!!!! Go Hogs!

Sundays are for Family
Today was a really good Sunday. We woke up pretty tired. Well I did anyway. Ruby has woke up twice the past two nights which is very unlike her. I'm guessing a growth spurt? I would say teething but all she wants is to eat then back to sleep. It's not that bad but interrupted sleep can really wear you out. Anyway we got up about 8 for the day. Ruby did have a couple naps. I'm hoping the waking up in the middle of the night doesn't last too much longer. It will make for a long work week.
We got ready and headed down to VB for lunch with my dad for his birthday. That was fun. I got to see my Mommo and Poppo who I don't see enough! And baby Reggie was there too. He is my cousin Elishea's baby. She and I are less than a month apart and now there's Reggie and Ruby who are 5 days apart. Can't wait for them to grow up together and play!
After that we stopped by the Inman's. We all sat outside on the back porch and just watched Tucker play. Ruby laughed hysterically at her Aunt B and Daddy. She laughs a lot but she was really laughing when they were playing with her. It was adorable. It was a really good day. I'm getting Ruby down a little late but that's quite alright with me. I enjoyed the family time!

This is lil' miss priss in her dress Merri and Laina got her. She wore it to lunch.

Ruby and Tucker riding around his truck. She just laughs and laughs at him.
I hope everyone has a good week!!!
